My name is Dominic Irla and I'm a freelance UI & Graphic Designer currently based in Cape Town where I was born and raised. I excelled in art throughout my school years and graduated from Vega in 2012 with a Bachelars Degree in Creative Brand Communications, specializing in multi-media design.
For the first 5 years that followed my graduation, I was employed as a social media manager, content strategist and graphic designer across multiple agencies in Cape Town, namely Native VML, Hellocomputer, Platinum Seed and M&C Saatchi Abel. I now have over 5 years of award-winning agency experience and 10+ years as a freelancer - 3 of these years (2018 - 2021) were spent living abroad in SE Asia (Vietnam).
I have a strong background in branding, social media management, digital content creation and strategy, UI design as well as print for a wide range of brands and industries. I'm a self-motivated digital-savvy creative with a constant hunger to create and upskill in the process. I pride myself in being fast, reliable and am proficient in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Firefly AI, Figma and Canva design tools.
When I'm not making things look pretty on my laptop - I enjoy traveling the world, being in nature, DJing and obsessing over all things art, music and film.
